A glass floor relies on providing the correct
panel thickness with appropriate supporting
structures.
Our design packages offer a range of steel,
glass or timber supporting structures and
a various glass surface finishes.
We strongly recommend that all specifications
are assessed in accordance with BS6399 Pt1.
Consideration should be given to concentrated
and uniform loads applied to mechanically
loaded floor systems. We suggest that these
applied loads should be provided by the project
engineer and be specific to each application.

The
above test data can be applied to two
edge supported applications, however,
we strongly recommend that all applications
are four edge supported. Two edge supported
systems are available on application.
The strength of the supporting structure
is essential to ensure the integrity
of the finished structure. The deflection
of the support should be less than the
allowable deflection of the finished
glass system i.e. not exceed L/125.It
is essential that Triple-Lite™
floor panels rest on a perimeter platform
not less than 30mm wide and glass to
steel contact is avoided using a range
of appropriate gaskets and sealants
supplied with our system.
Triple-Lite™
Surface Finishes
To enhance our Floorguard Triple-Lite™
glass panels we offer a range of surface
finishes to provide privacy and slip
resistance. Illustrated are screen
printed designs available in a range
of RAL compatible colours and sandblasted
decorative designs with or without
maintenance coatings.

should be obtained from the project
engineer (the above SATRA test results
are available in full on request).
