Safety Requirements:
Safeguard is a structural safety product
and is not designed to withstand pedestrian
traffic in BS6399. Safeguard products should
only be installed using approved compatible
glazing materials (please refer to Glazeguard
S.W. Ltd for further information). Where
edges are likely to be exposed to moisture
then we strongly suggest that a form of
edge protection is applied. Mechanical and
structural calculations are available at
a cost to be agreed. Safeguard should not
be installed in applications where sustained
temperatures exceeding 60°C will be
experienced.
General Notes:
Manufacturing, appearance and visual tolerances
in accordance with EN 12543 pts 1-6.
Bubbles
During the
laminating process it is possible that small
air bubbles may be entrapped; these may
naturally disperse during the curing process.
Any latent defects may be treated and will
not adversely affect the performance of
Safeguard products. Bubbles under 3mm in
diameter and not visible from 3 metres away
in normal daylight will be deemed acceptable.

Completion of mechanical and thermal safety
checks for any application remains the responsibility
