Requirements
Soundguard
is a structural safety product and is
not designed to withstand pedestrian traffic
defined in BS6399. Soundguard products
should only be installed using approved
compatible glazing materials (please refer
to Glazeguard Ltd for further information).
Where edges are likely to be exposed to
moisture then we strongly suggest that
a form of edge protection is applied.
Mechanical and structural calculations
are available at a cost to be agreed.
Soundguard should not be installed in
applications where sustained temperatures
exceeding 60°c will be experienced.
General
notes:
Bubbles
During
the laminating process it is possible
that small air bubbles may be entrapped;
these may naturally disperse during the
curing process. Any latent defects may
be treated and will not adversely affect
the performance of Soundguard products.
Bubbles under 3mm in diameter and not
visible from 3 metres away in normal daylight
will be deemed acceptable.
Specifiers
An edge
tape may be evident unless otherwise specified.
Completion of mechanical and thermal safety
checks for any application remains the
responsibility of the person(s) placing
